Eleanor Barnard Named Chief Distribution, Sales and Marketing Office at Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company

Eleanor Barnard has been named chief distribution, sales and marketing officer for Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company, announced Mike LaRocco, president and chief operating officer.

Barnard has been working as an adviser to Fireman’s Fund for the past several months. She is a well-known property and casualty insurance executive with extensive distribution, sales, marketing and general management experience.

Most recently Barnard served as chief marketing officer and head of distribution for Zurich North America. Her background also includes senior positions at Safeco Insurance, where she was senior vice president for sales and distribution, and at CNA where she served as senior vice president of sales and marketing. In addition, Barnard was president of Hilb Rogal and Hamilton Company’s New Jersey operation.

“Eleanor has outstanding experience at a major national broker and with leading property and casualty insurance firms,” said LaRocco. “She is a great friend to independent insurance agents and brokers, and knows how to strategically grow by integrating distribution, sales and marketing, which is one of our primary goals at Fireman’s Fund.”

Randy Farless has accepted the newly created position of senior vice president for sales operations and marketing. “This is a key position for us as we grow our business by delivering greater value to our agents and brokers as well as expand our customer base,” said LaRocco. “Randy will be instrumental in managing this aspect of our business.”
