Jim Walberg

Jim Walberg is the owner of The Bay Area Team – a residential real estate company under the brokerage of Keller Williams Realty.  He and his wife and business partner,  Ann Marie,  accomplish this by their attention to the details,  dedication to extraordinary service and by just plain hard work!  In 2009 they were ranked as the top Realtors for Keller Williams in Northern California and Hawaii, and in the Top 50 in North America.   He also owns Caribbean Islands Realty based in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.

Jim has been a member of the East Bay business community since 1970.   He has lived in Danville since 1973 which has allowed him to participate in the responsible development of this lovely region of the Bay Area.  In his professional community he was honored as Realtor of the Year – three times,  and inducted into the Realtor’s Hall of Fame for the East Bay.  Jim is also a certified Luxury International Real Estate specialist.  Last September he was awarded the “Best Global Networking Award” from Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate from over 120,000 Realtors.

Giving back to the community in which Jim lives and works is a key part of his weekly business plan.   He uses the quote from Martin Luther King, Jr. as his guide, “We are prone to judge success by the index of our salary or the size of our automobile,  rather than by the quality of our service to others and our relationship to humanity.”  Because of his focus on serving the needs of others he was awarded the Keller Williams Realty’s “Service Above Self Award” for 2007 and 2009.

Some of his interests are sailing and traveling in tropical regions of the world, collecting fine wines, reading, stream fishing for trout, skiing, and tending his rose garden.   However,  the most important part of his life is his personal faith,  his loving wife and business partner – Ann Marie,  and their wonderful kids Matt,  JJ and Bryana.
