Dear Luxe Friend,
As we begin 2007, allow me to bring you up to date on the latest plans and activities of the Luxury Marketing Council of San Francisco.
More Than 18 Events Planned for 2007
The exciting 2007 Events Calendar features 18 meetings and events with an additional handful still in the conceptual planning stage, including prominent author presentations, one-of-a-kind retail events and exciting social occasions involving the nation’s most honored “wining and dining” luxury brands.
2007 Kick-Off-Meetings ... Mark Your Calendar
Of immediate importance is the need to mark your calendar for February 22nd and February 28th which are the dates for the Council’s kick-off meetings in 2007. The opening event on the 22nd will feature leading industry expert Steve Nobel, Founder and Chairman of the Luxury Home Alliance, who will present eye-opening insights into the burgeoning luxury home furnishings and interior design marketplaces. The event on the 28th will feature the general managers of four of the Bay Area’s most renowned luxury hotel properties speaking on the topic of How to Find, Keep and Motivate the Elusive “Perfect” Employee.
Luxury Marketing Council Continues Global Expansion
On the expansion front, we are pleased to report that our sister chapter is now up-and-running in Orange County with the inaugural event planned for May, 2007. New Council chapters are also now operating in Mumbai and Sao Paulo with additional chapters planned to open in the first quarter of 2007 in Chicago, Las Vegas, Miami/Palm Beach and Tokyo. Contractual discussions are currently underway for chapters in Arizona/New Mexico, Bangkok, Buenos Aires, Los Angeles, Rio de Janeiro, Shanghai, Singapore, Toronto and Utah/Colorado. Currently, more than 700 leading global and regional luxury brands are “by invitation only” members of the organization.
Members of the San Francisco chapter interested in participating in the activities of other Council chapters should feel free to consult the “Other Chapters’ Events” section of the LuxeSF website.
A New Year Brings New Enhancements
2007 will bring a number of enhancements to the activities of the Council. In addition to an aggressive and expanded meetings and events schedule, you can expect:
- More opportunities to network with Council members and their guests through a program of planned introductions
- The addition to the website of a Listserv, an online community where you can ask questions and seek advice from fellow professionals. Council members can now post questions, receive answers, and share insights and best-practice advice with fellow members
- The addition of smaller, intimate niche meetings and think tanks where marketing issues of common concern and mutual interest can be discussed in a private and confidential setting
- New opportunities for Council members to showcase their products and services at Council events
- Continued expansion and enhancement of the Council’s monthly online publication, LuxeSF
- The distribution, later in the year, of an online Christmas luxury catalogue featuring the products and services of Council members
- The formation of an Advisory Board which will provide feedback and advice to the Council with respect to its programs and operations
Our Commitment to You
The Luxury Marketing Council of San Francisco is committed to delivering bigger, bolder, more relevant benefits to its members in 2007. In return, we ask for your continued involvement, feedback and support as the organization builds towards its role as the leading provider of knowledge, information and collaboration for the luxury marketing community in the Bay Area.
I look forward to seeing you on the 22nd and 28th.
Warmest regards,
Alf Nucifora
