Call them what you will, Gen X, Millennials, or any other demographic nomenclature, many of the under 40 cohort have the deep financial resources and the determination to acquire the connoisseur's knowledge and live the luxury high-life.

There are also those, the young "aspirationals" who lack the financial underpinning of a high net worth, but maintain six figure annual incomes and who strive to buy better and ultimately achieve the good life as well.

There's one problem. Most luxury marketers are oblivious to the needs of these growing luxury subsets which will comprise much of the luxury buying marketplace in the next decade. And of those marketers who understand the needs, most generally don't know how to address them.
