From the Chairman ...

More Meetings. More News. More Information.

With two very successful February programs under its belt, the Council is now in full swing for 2007. In addition to the 15 programs and events planned for the year (approximately), we’re ramping up our educational and informational offerings. In this month’s edition of LuxeSF, we’re adding significant material to both the research (now called Luxe Intelligence) and media/press sections (Luxe Press). Each day, we sweep the newswires in order the capture the latest news and trend data on the luxury sector. We also know that a wealth of uncaptured current research information and intelligence, particularly proprietary data. Wherever possible, we’ll seek access to that information so that we can report it back to you. Ultimately our Luxe Intelligence section, coupled with the valuable information presented on the website of our headquarters chapter in New York (www.luxurycouncil.com) will provide the broadest and deepest repository of luxury sector research information anywhere in the U.S. That’s our goal.

I owe you an apology

I’m aware that we’ve been inundating our members with email communications during the month, and for that we apologize. Part of the problem is that we have duplicate member listings on our contact database. That problem is being addressed as I write. Unfortunately, many of our members’ corporate servers have firewalls and spam filters that block legitimate messages such as ours. For that reason, we will often send the same communication in both text and html versions in order to beat the filters. Normally you can expect to receive 3-4 communications a month from the Council, most of which advertise coming programs and events. If you feel that you’re being barraged, please let me know (nucifora@luxesf.com) and we’ll make arrangements to reduce the traffic.
