  • The President & Managing Director of The Carlyle Hotel provided a special offer to each Carlyle guest ... a complimentary copy of the latest Sotheby's catalog, a Sotheby's bookmark and direct telephone link to Sotheby's from the hotel room phone with complimentary invitations to all Sotheby’s auctions and previews.
  • Working closely with the President and Managing Director of The Carlyle Hotel, the Director of Marketing for Seabourn Cruise Line designated The Carlyle as the exclusive venue for all Seabourn visits to New York. Seabourn also elected to use The Carlyle for all the cruise line’s special events, including regular press briefings, special announcements and marketing and promotional initiatives.
  • Just in time for Valentine's day and as part of the American Express Platinum card Concierge program, Godiva, under the auspices of Departures magazine, presented an overview of its products, gift service and packaging to 30 platinum card counselors who handle some 26,000 requests a year for gift giving ideas. The program helped Godiva more precisely target an important audience and boosted purchase of Godiva products while providing Godiva with a more precise measure of the effectiveness of its promotions.
  • The Consul of Monaco provided complimentary memberships in the exclusive Le Club Diamant Rouge to all Council members and to all passengers on Seabourn Cruises worldwide. Le Club Diamant Rouge allows members to receive special treatment when visiting Monaco and the opportunity to take advantage of special benefits including hotel, rental car and airline savings in Europe and the U.S.
  • All Council members attending the Adam Tihany hosted gala at Remi received two premium tickets to a special performance at Carnegie Hall where young musicians were coached by Isaac Stern and other musical masters. Members received the invitation compliments of the Director of Development at Carnegie Hall.
  • The Executive Director of New York City Opera worked with Seabourn Cruise Line to create a "New York City Opera Afloat: High C's on the High Seas" Cruise. The two-week "voyage of musical discovery" departed London with ports of call in Hamburg, Stockholm, St. Petersburg, Helsinki and Copenhagen. The cruise featured performances aboard ship by the "New York City Opera Quartet". Bridget Paolucci, eminent writer and lecturer, spoke aboard ship and led private tours of some of the most beautiful opera houses in Europe .
  • Council members from Seabourn and Steuben planned a gala reception at Steuben's Fifth Avenue Showroom. Attending were Seabourn Club members and Steuben VIP customers from the greater New York area. Seabourn provided a ship’s Captain and an onboard chef from one of its cruise ships for the occasion.
  • The President of Bang & Olufsen and the Publisher of Departures Magazine worked together to develop a mailing list of cardholders within a 20 mile radius of a new Bang & Olufsen store. Bang & Olufsen distributed a special mailing to these cardholders inviting them to the grand opening of the store.
  • Montblanc collaborated with New Yorker Magazine to host an exhibit of Garry Trudeau's "Flashbacks" celebrating 25 years of "Doonesbury".
  • Carnegie Hall held a reception for Council CEOs for a private preview of The Piano Sonatas of Ludwig van Beethoven in conjunction with Maurizio Pollini's performances of the entire Beethoven sonata cycle. The show included Beethoven's manuscripts, sketches, first editions and personal effects from the archives of the Beethoven-Haus in Bonn and the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde in Vienna.
  • At the request of Bang & Olufsen North America, the heads of marketing at Sotheby's, Steuben, Bergdorf Goodman and Cartier spoke to the owners of Bang & Olufsen's retail stores on the subject of "Incredible Customer Service: What Constitutes The Luxury Shopping Experience?"
