Luxury Marketing Council Opens to Raves in San Francisco |
|
Greetings to all of our Luxury Marketing Council members and friends! Welcome to the April publication of LuxeSF Magazine. In addition to 2006 Program updates, we want to share the following highlights with you. |
|
|
|
Inaugural Event a Success
We are proud to report that our inaugural event on March 15th was a resounding success. Approximately 130 of San Francisco's business and marketing influentials mingled at the Caldwell Snyder Gallery and gained new insights from Council Founder, Greg Furman, as he discussed the state of the luxury marketplace and its customers.

Retail Experts Engage Members During First Working Meeting
At the Council's first working meeting on March 29th, a panel comprised of three of the nation's most experienced retail experts, Wilkes Bashford, Werner Escher of South Coast Plaza in Orange County and Marion Lowry of DEPARTURES Magazine talked about opportunities and challenges facing the retail sector. The panel welcomed audience questions and responded with sage advice drawn from their own retail management experience. A gallery of photographs from both March events appears in LUXE Moments.

Welcome New Members
We would like to welcome the newest members of The Luxury Marketing Council family, Alain Pinel Realtors, McGuire Real Estate, Pacific Union GMAC Real Estate, Porthos ( the online source of California's finest wines) , Unique Global Estates and Viviani, Inc, the wine region's leading destination marketing company. As luxury leaders in their respective categories, we look forward to hearing their perspectives and sharing experiences with respect to the San Francisco luxury marketplace.

LuxeSF Adds New Sections
As the Council continues to grow so too does our magazine. You will find five exciting new sections that are now regular, monthly features of LuxeSF. In addition to the LUXE Moments photo gallery, you will notice a Research page where you will discover summary findings and data relating specifically to the luxury sector. Each month, the Member Profile section will introduce a different Council member to LuxeSF readers. Member News is dedicated to helping you communicate news, information, special offers and promotions, personnel appointments, etc. to the 600 luxury business leaders and influentials who read LuxeSF each month. And finally, for something really different, Luxury Gone Wild, a potpourri of the entertaining, the strange and the hilarious is drawn from the world of luxury and confirms the point that money and bizarre behavior are never strangers to each other.

Save The Date
Please don't forget to mark your calendars for Dr. Peter Sealey's program on April 26th, Marketing's Brave New World. I guarantee that this will be one of the most provocative, controversial and discussed programs on the 2006 Program.
