Council Adds Eleven Members in Record Month of Growth

Greetings to all of our Luxury Marketing Council members and friends! Welcome to the May edition of LuxeSF Magazine. In addition to the many 2006 Program updates, we want to share the following highlights with you.

Record Membership Gains
April was a busy month with eleven new members joining the LMC family. We are honored and privileged to have these organizations as members of the Council and look forward to sharing information and collaborating with them in the months ahead. In the immediate future, we will be focusing recruitment efforts on a select group of business categories that cater to the luxury sector including travel and hospitality, financial services, food and wine, professional services, galleries, home décor, jewelry and apparel.

Blockbusters expected for May and June Programs
Based on feedback and buzz, we are expecting sell-outs for both the May program on marketing to the Gay/Lesbian luxury consumer and the June program which will feature the #1 producers from five Bay Area leaders in luxury real estate sales. These will be two of the strongest and most informative programs of the year. Don’t miss them.

Sealey Wows Audience with Marketing Prognostications
Famed marketing expert, author and academic, Dr. Peter Sealey addressed an audience of 90 members and guests at the April meeting on the subject of Marketing’s Brave New World. (See who attended in LUXE Moments). In a lively interview discussion, peppered with audience questions, Dr. Sealey created excitement and fear as he painted a portrait of marketing as it will be practiced by the end of the decade. Under that scenario, marketing control will reside firmly in the hands of the consumer and current marketing practices employed by the bulk of today’s consumer brands will be rendered obsolete. Luxe Notes features a full transcript of the discussion.

LuxeSF Adds New Sections and Exciting Features
We are happy to announce this month’s edition includes a number of new, exciting features. LUXE Homes will present an outstanding luxury property offered for sale each month by one of the Council’s luxury real estate members. This month we feature the magnificent Verdier/Scholes Mansion offered by McGuire Real Estate. We have added opinion and findings from one of the nation’s most respected luxury research companies, Premium Knowledge Group. And our Member News section is packed with exciting announcements and offers. We have also added dates for most of the monthly meetings for the balance of 2006. Now is the time to add them to your calendar.

Finally ... We Need Your Help
Council member, Lisa Holladay representing Mercedes-Benz USA has taken on an important challenge to raise funds for the Bay Area Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. We ask you to support Lisa by loosening the purse strings and bidding with abandon as she conducts a silent auction for an outstanding Luxury Coastal Getaway package at our next meeting on May 23rd. For those of you who need a break that includes plenty of golf, pampering, and a new Mercedes -- do we have a deal for you!

I look forward to seeing you at our next event on May 23rd.

Warmest regards,

Alf Nucifora
