Porsche Design Studio Introduces Fearlessness in the Water |
Few motor yachts are likely to be mistaken for sports cars -- not with all that water around, and a dearth of burning rubber. But the Fearless 28 comes close. In designing the luxury speedboat, Fearless Yachts teamed with the Porsche Design Studio who turned to the granddaddy of all Porsches for inspiration, the 205-mph Carrera GT.
The Fearless 28 looks camera-ready for the next James Bond adventure, and with a starting price of $300,000, it’s certainly a luxurious nautical bullet.
Action is no problem with a ILMOR V-10 Viper 550 hp engine. The cockpit features seating for five. Adjustable sport bucket seats with ergonomic bolster support and provide customized comfort.
The Fearless 68 model (arriving in 2008). The 68 features a customizable interior construction that comfortably accommodates a two or three stateroom layout.
The 68 features twin MTU 10V, 1500HP engines coupled with Rolls Royce water jet drives to ensure a powerful, yet smooth ride. The premium audio system comes equipped with XM, AM/FM, CD, DVD player and an IPod docking station.
Fearless Yachts will offer more boats in their Porsche Design Studio series, including a 125 and 150 foot model. Visit www.fearlessyachts.com

What we do know ... these underwater luxury vessels are not the cramped and steely tubs of Hollywood movies, deep-sea exploration, or military use. The ocean floor is the final spending frontier for the world's richest people. “... Journeying to see what's on the bottom aboard a personal submersible is a wretched excess guaranteed to trump the average mogul's stable of vintage Bugattis or a $38 million round-trip ticket to the International Space Station aboard a Russian rocket.”
