Inglenook Opens Historic Visitors Center

Always looking for innovative ways to improve its guests' experience, Inglenook has announced the long-awaited opening of its new Visitor Center, situated at the entrance to the estate. The building, originally constructed in 1879, was used as a water storage tank house on the back of the property. It was capable of storing up to 20,000 gallons of water collected from nearby mountain springs which were used for winery operations.

Rather than build something new, the Coppola family wanted to share this rarely seen, historical building with a wider audience. Over the past two years, the building has been carefully relocated to the entrance and restored as a Visitor Center, where we will welcome visitors. Guests will check in here before proceeding to the Chateau for their experience.

SPECIAL OFFERS FROM INGLENOOK:

  1. Inglenook welcomes fellow members of The Luxury Marketing Council to come see the new Visitor Center, schedule a tasting with one of the winery’s sommeliers or enjoy a glass of wine in the beautiful courtyard.  Mention you are a member of The Luxury Marketing Council when you make your reservation for a special discount.  Reservations@inglenook.com

Trinchero Napa Valley Opens Stunning New Tasting Room

The new Tasting Room offers both public and private tasting areas and a similar look and feel of the current Hospitality and Culinary Center, but taking a slightly more modern decorative approach. The brand is an homage to founders Mario and Mary Trinchero, who built Sutter Home and established a legacy of giving back to, and working in, the Napa Valley community that continues today.

The architectural style of the new space evokes early California, while elegantly fitting into its agrarian surroundings. The interior harkens to the historic roots of the Trinchero family, which are seamlessly interwoven with the history of Napa Valley as a winegrowing region. Bob Torres, third-generation Trinchero family member and a graduate of UC Berkeley with an architectural degree shaped the creative vision for the TNV estate. Renowned local designer, Erin Martin, whose past projects include Yountville’s staple pizzeria, Redd Wood, created unique interiors that offer warmth, timelessness and luxury to the visitor experience. Each design aspect is somehow influenced by the family’s Italian roots and history from being in the Napa Valley, as well as in New York City.

HILL & Co. Real Estate Celebrates Its 60th Anniversary

Hill & Co. Real Estate recently celebrated its 60th Anniversary. The company has been doing business continuously since its founding in San Francisco in 1956. The brokerage has been home to some of San Francisco’s most stellar real estate agents, and its REALTORS® have represented clients in the sale and purchase of many of San Francisco’s most prestigious properties.

In 1956, the Giants were still two years away from moving to San Francisco, gas cost 22 cents a gallon, and Joseph Costello founded a little real estate firm called Hill & Co. Real Estate.

From the beginning, Mr. Costello had big ideas for his company, and in no time it dominated sales on the north side of town, where some of the City's most glamorous homes are located. Real estate in those days involved much less paperwork, and much more vision, as neighborhoods were not yet fully formed.

“I literally grew up with this business,” said Hill & Co. President Jay Costello - one of founder Joseph Costello’s sons. “I am extremely proud to build upon what my father envisioned, and to see that we adhere to the same core values that he espoused -- caring for the needs of our clients with integrity and professionalism.”

Sotheby's International Realty Launches Matterport 3D Tours

Sotheby’s International Realty has announced the integration of Matterport 3D tours into its online property listings, adding another new feature that leverages technology to transform the home buying experience.

Matterport tours provide clients with an immersive 3D experience of a property, whether they’re located across town or overseas. Viewable at sothebyshomes.com, the 3D tours give prospective buyers a dramatically improved understanding of a home’s layout, flow and features. Digitally savvy clients react positively to the tours: much like video, adding Matterport to a listing can double or triple clicks, time on site and social media engagement, and generates 49% more leads.

This innovative technology benefits both buyers and sellers. Thanks to the virtual reality experience, buyers can preview multiple homes to determine which ones deserve an in-person tour.  Realtors say buyers who view the 3D tours before visiting in person are more likely to make offers on a first showing. Sellers appreciate that they aren’t displaced by last-minute appointments. Celebrity clients can maintain greater privacy, and the property also experiences less wear and tear from open houses.

"If even there was an argument for minimalism, it’s made at the Chapman Park home of Marika Sakellariou. With nary a color in 4,500 square feet and sparsely decorated with sculptural modern furnishings, the space feels more like an art gallery or laboratory than the home of this doyenne of dance and fitness known simply as Marika."
